Install Motherboard


Installing a Motherboard:

  1. Make sure motherboard is compatible with all other hardware components within your case or tower.

  2. Also make sure that all ports will match the back of your case or tower in the proper housing.

  3. Uninstall old motherboard removing all screws securing motherboard to tower or case.

  4. Match up new motherboard with existing screw pattern to properly secure motherboard to chassis.

  5. Once new motherboard is install start by hooking up the power supply to it then all other hardware components.

  1. Make sure you have all the connections set right by manual for power button. this includes HDD Led, Power On, Reset Led, and Switch.

  2. After all components are in place, Memory (RAM) is installed, and you are ready to boot up to test see if your computer will work.

  3. Installing a new motherboard may require you to reset any jumper settings for Bios/CMOS once you get all components, power supply, and motherboard installed.

  4. Boot your computer to see if the computer responds to your POST startup. If any errors occur troubleshoot the errors by fixing or replacing components or housings.

  5. If everything works ok enjoy using your computer. Otherwise find any issue that may present failure to the user.

Just something to remind people most stores will not take returns on Electronicas Devices that have been opened, so when purchasing an electronic component make sure to find out if there is any warranties, and any reasons for voiding receipt.

Try to avoid forcing any connections into other hardware this may cause electrical failure or power management loss.

When installing a new Motherboard always check with manual to make sure you are hooking up all jumper settings and power connections for proper function.
