The device manager is a list of Hardware installed and operated by software called drivers. The system needs these drivers to properly operate the hardware installed into individuals computer system. The Device Manager can be found by Clicking on Start, Right Clicking on My Computer go to Hardware Tab, Click Device Manager Tab. If the hardware or device drivers are not properly installed a User will see a ?. or ! Notification beside the Device not working properly.

– Hardware found under Device manager: (Below are screenshots of the list of Hardware most computers have installed).

1.) Computer,
2.) Disk Drives,
3.) DVD/CD Roms,
4.) Human Interface Devices,
5.) IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers,
6.) Keyboards,
7.) Mice & other pointing devices,
8.) Network Adapters,
9.) Other Devices,
10.) Processors,
11.) Sound, Video and Game controllers,
12.) System Devices,
13.) Universal Serial Bus controllers

“Some systems may have different Hardware noted on the list above”.

(If a user experiences an I/O Address Error, or IRQ Error this means a device is conflicting with another device within the system; all devices are setup with an IRQ and an IO Address).

If anyone has more information please feel free to add it in the comment section.
